Children’s author, editor and publisher with over 15 years’ experience creating engaging non-fiction, novelty and picture books for young readers

I write children’s non-fiction for all ages, specialising in interactive formats and concepts that combine clear information with humour and play. My books are designed to engage even less enthusiastic readers, and have been published successfully around the world.
My picture books include The Fairy Garden, shortlisted for the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize. I write in a range of styles, from lyrical prose to laugh-out-loud rhyme.

I also have extensive experience writing books for educational publishers, creating curriculum-linked and home-education titles that support learning clearly and confidently.
I’ve managed two highly distinctive children’s imprints, publishing directly into the UK and US book trade. Market leader Wide Eyed Editions specialising in high-end design and illustration, and Ivy Kids, a unique environmental imprint produced to best-in-class sustainability standards on 100% recycled paper.

I specialise in innovative formats, from playable “game-in-a-book” novelty series such as Wide Eyed Editions' Spin to Survive and pioneering 100% post-consumer recycled printing for Ivy Kids.
I bring deep expertise in sustainable book publishing, with strong knowledge of environmentally focused production and supply chains, and experience publishing work by leading environmental authors and organisations.
